Weekly Photo Challenge: Colorful

This is the photo I took in response to this week’s photo challenge by The Daily Post. I don’t claim to be a photographer, but I like taking photos, especially for this type of challenge. I find it leads me to see the world differently. And seeing the world differently is something I always find enriching.

    Wow, a Viceroy butterfly! I have never actually seen one of those in person. I’ve been trying to see if we could find a real one to show my son the differences between that and a Monarch (he’s all into bugs and other invertebrates right now, as you saw from him patting the slug…*shudder*).

      I had a feeling it was a Viceroy, but I didn’t know for sure. This photo was from when I went back with the whole family the day after the kids and I hiked with y’all.
