This is my photographic response to a recent photo challenge by The Daily Post. I like taking photos, especially for this type of challenge. I find it leads me to see the world differently. And seeing the world differently is something I always find enriching.
Usually when I post for these photo challenges, I try to let the photos speak for themselves as much as possible. But I think this photo needs a little more explanation.

I love it!! Things like that are so personal. This sounds weird, but my mom had a towel she used for her hair all the while we were growing up, that was so worn out, but she just used it, and we never touched it, it was just her hair towel, like some kind of shrine or something. Well, one Christmas, I think I was like 13, we decided to get her a new towel. It was white with a picture of a goose on it. We thought it was just an awesome towel. So that became her new towel–and I swear, if you go into her linen cupboard, it’s still in there. She can’t use it, because it is so totally threadbare, but it’s still underneath all the new bath towels :).
