Well, what do you know? It’s March. I’ve been so distracted by the crazy rollercoaster weather here in New England the past couple of weeks and so consumed with the books I’ve been binge-reading in March so far that I totally spaced on doing the February Bookends.
Here are the titles I finished reading in February:
Grown-ups’ Books:
The Trespasser by Tana French (Dublin Murder Squad #6)
The Woman in Black by Susan Hill
Undress Me in the Temple of Heaven by Susan Jane Gilman
Jack of Spades by Joyce Carol Oates
The Fever by Megan Abbott
Dark Places by Gillian Flynn
Kids’ Books:
Mostly my kids did their own reading this month. My seven-year-old read more than ten novels in February. Kid’s my son for sure. (I’ve long since stopped keeping track of the books my eleven-year-old reads, so I have no idea how many she finished in February.)
Currently Reading:
- The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer (read-aloud with my kids alongside the excellent retelling by Geraldine McCaughrean)
- The Histories by Herodotus (for my Cavalcade of Classics, as a never-ending read-aloud with my daughter)
- The Last Days of Socrates by Plato (another read-aloud with my daughter. Almost done!)
My To-Read List for March:
- Summer Sisters by Judy Blume (SBC March Selection)
- The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon
- The Women in the Walls by Amy Lukavics
- Those Across the River by Chris Buehlman
- Security by Gina Wohlsdorf
- Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson
What have you enjoyed reading in the past month? What’s on your to-read list for March?
