So, we made it to Florida.
Travel with two children is a challenge to any otherwise harmonious marital relationship. I’m frankly amazed that any couple who are married when they leave their home are still married when they drive off in a nondescript mid-sized rental sedan.
Thankfully, my husband and I are still together, even though there’s no satellite radio in our rental car. Actually, I think it was the shared experience of bewilderment at the function of the proximity key that saved our union. No one wants to be alone during an experience so disorienting as being able to start a car’s engine with just the press of a button.
